Invitation to summerschool of conservation genetic

The five-day workshop will take place at the field station IVB ASCR Mohelský mill from 10 to 14 of August 2015. This workshop will focus on the practical use of molecular methods in biodiversity conservation. This would include the trapping of small vertebrates and collecting genetic material. Subsequently, students will isolate DNA and use other molecular methods (PCR, sequencing, microsatellite analysis). One day, the students will visit laboratories of Institute of AS CR in Studenec, where sequencing will take place. The data analysis will be done by students under the guidance of experienced tutors (phylogenetic analysis, determination to species based on BLAST, paternity analysis based on microsatellites etc.). Within this Summerschool will be also organized a one-day mini conference, where examples of the use of molecular methods in practice will be presented. Participation in Summerschool is offered to students of all levels of Sciences oriented fields. The maximum capacity of the course is 15 people.
